Eldale Machine & Tool is pleased to announce the release of its new 16K Drum Brake Kit, part of our series of Drum Brake assemblies that includes a 25K Drum Brake Kit as well. These ‘state of the art’ drum kits were developed in concert with our European partner - Monroc Industries to meet and exceed North American and European braking standards. Braking issues have become front and centre in discussions with manufacturers, OEM’s, and farmers alike. Larger, faster, and heavier equipment require braking assemblies that can meet and exceed new regulations for braking performance. Eldale now has a turnkey solution for your 16K and 25K Drum Brake needs.
Below is an outline of the just released 16K Drum Brake Kit. The 16K Kit package includes Brake Shoes, Brake Cams along with Drum, Cylinder, Slack Adjuster, and all the component parts listed in the 16K Kit Description. Note: the corresponding Eldale hub and spindle are sold separately.
As mentioned, the new Drum Brake assembly was developed in conjunction with our European partner Monroc Industries. The combined efforts of our 2 teams ensures that it meets and exceeds both the ASABE braking guidelines in North America, and stringent European Union braking standards. As a result, Eldale and Monroc offer:
- A 16K Drum Brake Kit that exceeds the Certification Standard according to the ASABE S648 Guidelines.
- A new 16K Drum Brake Kit that is the only ASABE S648 braking system optimized for 16,000lbs – 10 bolt hubs.
- An easy and problem free way to move to certified brakes, with on hand spare parts using same hubs, same components, bearings, and spindles for ready made inventory solutions &…
- Your customers (who are emphasizing safety in the field, on the road and at the farm), the first Certified brakes on the market.
And the larger 25K Drum Brake Kit includes the Drum, Cam Kit, Cam Shaft, Manual Slack Adjuster, Brake Kit Pads and Spider however, it does not include the Hub and Spindle, assembly, or painting. We learned during our discussion with several manufacturers that different companies will want to assemble the kit in different ways. Some may need to weld the spider to their tubes, and some may weld to the spindle. We want to point out that if it is possible to weld to the spindle, then Eldale could completely assemble the unit and paint it at our shop. We could then supply it as a complete turnkey package for you to bolt on. We heard considerable interest in that option.
