Farm and Fuel Leaders Show Support for Strong RFS Targets
Farmers and biofuel advocates from across the U.S. came together to support the EPA’s proposed Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) biofuel volumes for 2026 and 2027.
The public hearing allowed key industry figures to comment on the suggested levels, which aim to increase the use of renewable fuels in the country.
ADM’s Adam Kuffel confirmed that American supply chains are prepared to meet the demand. Devin Mogler from the National Oilseed Processors Association praised the EPA’s proposal but raised concerns about Small Refinery Exemptions. He emphasized that these waivers should be strictly reviewed and transparently handled to protect the integrity of the program.
Donnell Rehagen, CEO of Clean Fuels Alliance America, said, “EPA’s acknowledgement of the industry’s investments in new capacity and intent to provide consistent RFS growth are greatly appreciated.”
