“Whether you are looking to reel in a walleye, rainbow trout, tiger trout or any one of the dozens of fish species that live in our waters, a successful fishing trip is more likely than ever thanks to Alberta’s provincial stocking program. This year, nearly four million wild walleye fry hatched at the Cold Lake Fish Hatchery were stocked into 16 lakes and reservoirs to create future walleye angling opportunities, while more than two million hatchery-reared trout of a catchable size were stocked into more than 240 lakes.
