BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has named Kadee Hande as a livestock development specialist in the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.

“Kadee’s background in livestock production, and her experience in communications will be very helpful in the department’s efforts to expand and improve the profitability of the state’s livestock industry,” Goehring said.

A native of Rhame, Hande graduated from North Dakota State University, where she majored in communications with a minor in equine science. She has since worked as livestock manager for the Black Hills Stock Show and in media relations in the 2005 North Dakota Legislature.

In her new position, Hande will work with North Dakota dairy and livestock producers to develop and sustain the state’s livestock industry by enhancing the production, processing and marketing of their products. She will provide technical support, research, and contact information to commodity groups, individual producers, processors and producer cooperatives to improve profitability of the livestock industry.
