NCBA Spreads Positive Beef Message To Top National Media

NCBA’s Executive Director of Nutrition Research Shalene McNeill and University of Connecticut professor Nancy Rodriguez met with editors of eight national magazines in New York last month to present the latest protein research. Information was provided on the unique benefits of animal protein, including lean beef, and why it is a critical component in the diet. McNeill addressed beef nutrition myths and discussed the potential future of protein recommendations in dietary guidance.

The meetings provided the opportunity to educate key nutrition and health editors on beef messages, while building and strengthening media relationships. NCBA’s nutrition team will continue to maintain contact with these influential members of media through Beef Nutrition News, an e-newsletter that will contain new animal protein and beef information.
