“From a company perspective, this is a prestigious award that we are thrilled to win and confirmation of the importance of VeriGrain to the agriculture sector and the food chain,” says Ken Jackson, VeriGrain’s CEO and CTO.
“VeriGrain isn’t just a new product, it is a much-needed new industry standard that provides more accurate and accessible grain quality and quantity information sooner. From a personal perspective as the inventor and development team leader, this is a real career highlight,” he adds.
There are two versions of the VeriGrain app. One is designed for growers and the other for enterprise companies buying, brokering, or processing grains. The Grower Series app allows producers to create a digital record for tracking quality and quantity when grain is loaded into or out of storage. It ensures samples are representative using semi or fully automated sampling and streamlines interaction with testing labs. This gives the grower more detailed knowledge they can easily share digitally with buyers, which results in enhanced revenue, traceability and reduces rejections and downgrades.
The Enterprise app streamlines interaction between the grower and the buyer, so they have more certainty what they are buying and receive what they purchased, which allows them to operate more efficiently.
The apps are available for iOS and Android devices. VeriGrain also sells calibrated sample scoops and individually bar-coded containers and tamper-evident bags that preserve the samples and simplify sample tracking.
