BEAN MARKET SUMMARY

BEANS: Trading activity and movement were mostly light to moderate. Demand remains moderate for most varieties. Dealer prices continue to be relatively steady across most classes, with the out market on Nebraska Great Northerns holding firm. The grower market remains relatively unchanged and many growers with product left to trade remain reluctant to sell. Increased interest in Great Northern Beans in Nebraska has been reflected in the grower bid, as bids are now steady to 2.00 higher. Dealer: PINTO BEANS were steady. GREAT NORTHERN BEANS were 1.00 to 2.00 higher. LIGHT RED KIDNEY BEANS were steady. DARK RED KIDNEY BEANS were not established. PINK BEANS were steady. SMALL RED BEANS were steady. BLACK BEANS were steady. PEA BEANS were steady. GARBANZOS were mostly steady. Grower: PINTO BEANS were mostly steady. GREAT NORTHERN BEANS were steady to 2.00 higher.
