The first of September marks the start of Hunger Action Month. More than 13 million households in the United States were uncertain or unable to acquire food at some time during 2021. Through the Feds Feed Families program, we are taking action against hunger by donating canned food, fresh fruits, and vegetables to food banks and pantries.
How will you help those who have difficulty accessing affordable nutritious food? Get involved – participate in Two Can Tuesday by dropping off or donating two cans of food to your local food bank.
Interested in being more involved? Join us for the Feds Walk In Support of Health and Hunger (Relief) – FedsWISH on September 28 in the National Capital Region. You can also host your own walk – visit the FFF Hub for FedsWISH guidance and ideas on how to make that happen.

- Donate fresh fruit such as oranges or vegetables such as carrots to your local food bank.
- Participate in a local food bank volunteer program.
- Join you on a lunch time walk, virtual meeting, or for a team picture.
- Bring canned food to your football tailgate celebration. Be sure to include a collection box with your team colors and a thank you for making a difference in Hunger Action Month.
