U.S. ethanol exports saw a sharp month-to-month improvement during August. The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol exports of 80.48 million gallons were up 56% from July and the largest monthly volume since March. The top five customers were Canada, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Peru, and Nigeria, with little or no monthly trade involving Brazil, China, or India, all of which have been key markets in previous months. Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 1.24 million tons, a six-year high and 17% more than the previous month, with Mexico, Vietnam, and Turkey leading the list.
