Precision Planting’s System Lets You See Inside Air Seeders, Dry Fertilizer Applicators, and Strip-Till Bars

Precision Planting’s Clarity system does just that. It provides clarity on the distribution of granular products in air seeders, box drills, dry fertilizer applicators, and strip-till bars. 

With real-time visualization, this technology helps farmers detect blockages and ensure even distribution across the field.

To learn more about this technology and how it works, Farms.com met with Precision Planting’s Shan Robinson. 

Robinson explained that when working in the field, it can be difficult to determine if products like seed and fertilizer are being applied correctly. 

Clarity integrates with the 20|20 display, allowing farmers to monitor product flow and adjust as needed.  

This ensures proper seed placement and fertilizer application, which directly impact crop yield and overall farm efficiency. 

With Clarity, farmers gain confidence in their application methods, reducing waste and maximizing returns. 

Another key feature is its ability to connect to hydraulic drives, which helps regulate application rates. 

“That's how we use what we call magnitude. Magnitude will give us an idea of how much population or how much fertilizer is going through our bar,” adds Robinson.
