Feedworks USA grows its monogastric team, adding Dr. Tommy Shipp as technical services manager

Feedworks USA, Ltd., is thrilled to announce Tommy Shipp, Ph.D., as its technical services manager for the southeastern U.S., consulting with customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Dr. Shipp brings a wealth of nutrition and feed additive expertise to the rapidly growing Feedworks USA monogastric business portfolio.

In this new role, Dr. Shipp will provide technical sales and support to swine and poultry integrators, plus play a key role in the commercialization of existing products in the company’s portfolio, as well as future nutrition innovations.

“With his wealth of nutrition and technical service experience in the swine industry, Tommy will be a great asset to our customers, suppliers and our internal team,” says Michael Parsley, partner at Feedworks USA.

Prior to joining Feedworks USA, Dr. Shipp worked with Smithfield Hog Production, LLC, both internationally and domestically as director of nutrition. In addition, he was on staff as a nutritionist with Cape Fear Consulting, was swine technical services director at ADM Animal Health and Nutrition, and held a similar position with Trouw Nutrition USA. Also, for the past eight years, Dr. Shipp has been in partnership with his brother in their cow-calf operation in Alabama.

Dr. Shipp is eager to join the team and help companies apply the Feedworks USA product portfolio in the most effective ways. “A key aspect of what I do is help my customers beyond what a product is or what it does, so that they get the most benefit from it,” says Dr. Shipp. “Nutrition is a science and an art. Therefore, it’s vital to ask the right questions to fully understand the customer needs to offer solutions that position them for success.”
