Farm show season kicks off with Western Canadian Crop Production Show

Tuesday morning marks the start of the Western Canadian Crop Production Show from Prairieland Park in Saskatoon.

Hours of the show for Tuesday and Wednesday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Agriculture Manager for Prairieland Park Leigh Ann Hurlburt says tickets are $22 for the day, $40 for a two-day pass, and new this year is a three-day pass for $50. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at cropproductionshow.com.

There are 340 exhibitors occupying the more than 240 thousand square foot venue. 

The NuFarm Information Theatre in Hall B features four presentations per day, covering wide ranging topics from kochia management, to insect pest updates, to trade and tariffs.

Happening at the theatre Tuesday is a 2026 crop variety update at 10:30 a.m., the Saskatchewan Agriculture Hall of Fame class of 2026 announcement at 11:30 a.m., the Western Canadian Crop Production Show Innovation Award presentations at 12:30 p.m., and a presentation on kochia management in pulse crops at 2:30 p.m.

Running alongside the Crop Production Show is the Saskatchewan Crops Forum at the Western Development Museum. SaskWheat, SaskBarley, Saskatchewan Pulse Growers, and SaskOilseeds are holding their respective annual general meetings Tuesday and Wednesday. An agenda can be found on the SaskWheat website.
