A piece of construction equipment sold for the highest price during a recent equipment auction.

Of the 2,442 items up for sale during BigIron’s Nov. 9 event, an excavator earned the highest bid.

The 2020 Caterpillar 323 excavator from Griggsville, Ill., sold for US$220,000 (CAD$294,118) to a buyer from Pennsylvania after 243 bids.
