Missouri Dairy is eager to bring information to improve profitability for dairy producers statewide. On Friday, Jan. 23, Missouri Dairy hosts the sixth annual Missouri Dairy Expo in conjunction with its annual meeting at the Oasis Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield.
“We have a great lineup of experts for this year’s conference,” said Reagan Bluel, University of Missouri Extension dairy specialist and educational director for Missouri Dairy. “With three concurrent breakout sessions, we are confident everyone will find a topic of interest.”
“There are a variety of ways dairymen can improve profitability on-farm, however that looks different for every operation,” Bluel continued. “Technology doesn’t have to come at a net cost, sometimes just a mindset shift using data already being collected. Come explore the possibilities for return on investment.”
Topics include dairy farm outlook, drone weed control in hayfields, optimal timing of insemination for peak profit, transition cow optimization, smarter land decisions using mapping tools, and practical approaches to nutrition and management.
