Video: Spreading Chicken litter. The farming side of things.
The ground finally dried out enough to get some chicken litter spread on the fields before the next rain due in this weekend. This litter comes from Arkansas and is trucked up here and dumped on the edge of my fields. We load it in the spreader and spread 2-3 ton/acre. The analysis is generally 50 - 60 units of nitrogen, 50 - 60 units of Phosphorous, and 60 - 70 units of Potassium/ton. There are many micronutrients, organic matter, and carbon also.
