Video: A Day On the Farm Preparing For Winter!
Winter is coming! We work on getting the cattle barns ready for the winter! There is plenty to do on the dairy farm this time of year! First we feed all of the dry cows and heifers Silage! Then we put a cow strap on a very pregnant heifer, in order to make sure she is ready for the dairy barn after giving birth! Now on to winterizing the barns! First we move some gates and screw on a couple pieces of temporary tin siding! To finish up in the barns we work on the drinking cups! Lastly I feed some dry hay to a group of heifers still in the pasture!
