CCGA Spring Cash Advance

The Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is now accepting applications for the 2011 cash advance program. “Having the application forms and online system available earlier in the spring is one way we can provide better service to farmers who have a busy field season right around the corner,” says Rick White, General Manager of the CCGA.

Through the Advance Payments Program, farmers are eligible for up to $100,000 interest-free, and an additional $300,000 at very competitive interest rates. Producers can apply for a cash advance on a wide range of commodities, depending on the province where they farm.

Many farmers like the flexibility that a spring cash advance offers, and it is particularly useful in financing the heavy cash flow demands that farms experience through the spring. “We’re already receiving calls from farmers wanting to complete their cash advance applications before they get into the field,” says White.

Farmers can apply using the convenient on-line system at www.ccga.ca or they can call 1-866-745-2256 to complete a telephone application. Applications are also available at many local elevators. “New this year, we’ve introduced a fax back option to improve our service level for farmers,” says White.
