Discuss Current Issues Facing the Industry
The Pennsylvania Equine Council (PEC) will host this year’s State of the Equine Industry, Fall Issues Forum and the Pennsylvania Equine Council’s Annual Meeting at the Holiday Inn East, 4751 Lindle Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111, on Nov. 12 and 13, 2010.
The two day program will begin on Friday, Nov 12 with the annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Equine Council. This year the PEC is taking a look at the “State of the Equine Industry” in the Commonwealth through the input from various equine related schools and industries. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the equine community in Pennsylvania – its roots, current events, problems and goals. The event is open to the public and for all PEC members, county and regional directors and PEC Board Directors. The program will cost $50 for the weekend: $20 for Friday and $30 for Saturday.
Friday will include a farm visit and luncheon, PEC Board of Directors Meeting and Update and an evening reception. Saturday will host a variety of academic and industry experts and includes breakfast and lunch. Saturday afternoon will be a forum for ideas for dealing with current and projected obstacles within the horse industry. Additionally, newly projected regulations involving the horse industry will be discussed.
