• Lead, plan, and support the implementation of engagement and communication activities to advance intentional and two-way communication within and outside RDAR.
• Develop strategies and approaches to collect and translate stakeholder feedback into business objectives.
• Develop communication strategies that include multiple tactics and ensure that all external communication meet RDAR’s standards and needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts; adjust where required.
• Facilitate small and large groups to collect feedback and inform RDAR’s direction.
• Prepare reports for the executive and the Board of Directors regarding activities related to stakeholder management.
• Guide other communications team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience within Alberta’s agricultural, business, and/or economic development sectors.
• Experience with research extension and / or science communication is an asset.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing and communication plans.
• Undertake multiple projects concurrently while maintaining flexibility, political acuity, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of outreach and engagement strategies for diverse groups and organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills to build networks and trusting relationships with colleagues and external groups.
• Valid Driver’s License.
