S3 Enterprises CEO Richelle Andreas says the focus of the new "S3 Legacy Project" is to recognize the work and improvements being made in farm practices and manufacturing that contribute to sustainable farms.
"It's really these continuous improvements the small incremental improvements in farm practices and manufacturing that contribute to sustainable farms, supported by sustainable farm equipment manufacturing."
The S3 Legacy Project follows through on the Five Pillars of Agricultural Stewardship.
"We recognize that a lot of consumers have never had the opportunity to step foot on a farm, and they have a lot of preconceptions about what sustainable agriculture really is. So what we did is we identified what we call the Five Pillars of Agricultural Stewardship. Reducing energy consumption, improving soil health, safeguarding clean water, reusing what is already there and reducing waste."
Andreas says the equipment and products they manufacture sustainably and that are considered energy efficient will feature the new S3 Legacy Project Logo in the new year.
S3 Enterprises is a shortline farm equipment manufacturer based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
