Day one will focus on the bulls and day two on the females, Ippolito said.
Anyone interested in purchasing something can do so online at DLMS.ca or on the Team Auctions website, or can be at the sale in-person. The farm is located approximately six kilometres south of Kisbey, off of SK-605 south.
Ippolito states that while they're getting out of the purebred business, they will remain in the cattle industry. He said family was the main reason for the sale.
"I've got a really young family and aging parents, and I think it's really the time to do it, " he said. "When we set the wheels in motion in the springtime, we knew the market was strong. We didn't know it was going to be record price, so the main reason is family."
He added after more than 50 years, they felt it was the right time to sell with the high prices and high optimism within the industry.
