After several years of virtual events, the Bioenterprise Canada team was eager to re-connect with farmers and other agri-food industry partners in southwestern Ontario at the London Farm Show.
The event is the largest indoor farm show in Eastern Canada with over 230,000 square feet of event space, and 2023 marked the first year of its in-person return since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bioenterprise used its booth at the show to introduce attendees to its innovation programs and business acceleration services for the food and agri-tech sector.
The team also had the opportunity to meet Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, Lisa Thompson, who re-affirmed her support for innovative agricultural technologies during a press conference at the event.
“Innovation on the farm is critical to advance sustainable food production in Canada, and farmers are truly interested in improving efficiency on the farm and are willing to integrate technologies to do so,” says Rachel Zimic, Bioenterprise’s Membership Services Lead. “This show was a great opportunity for our team to support our members and to see some of those technologies first-hand too.”
