Parrish & Heimbecker Announces Upgrades for Kincardine, ON Facility

Apr 14, 2023

Parrish & Heimbecker has announced major upgrades for its grain handling facility in Kincardine, ON, which will expand storage and increase unloading speeds.

Planned upgrades include a new dryer and wet storage system, a kiosk for the self-weighing of trucks, a probing station, and larger receiving pits. Once completed, the new facility will offer faster unload times for producers eliminating lineups and enhancing food safety and quality control capabilities. The addition of self-loading of outbound trucks will also reduce wait times and improve overall efficiency, the company said in a release last week.

The upgraded facility will be dedicated to serving the demand for high-quality wheat from P&H’s flour mills in Ontario. Construction has started and the upgrades are scheduled to be completed by early 2024. No cost estimate was released.
