Chase DeCoite, manager of the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program, funded by the beef checkoff, says producers have just one month left to register for their free BQA certification. He says to date, he is pleased with how many producers are taking advantage of the program.
DeCoite 1: “These numbers are really coming in strong and surpassing any hope that we could have had to increase our numbers based on previous certification campaigns. Producers can go to bqa.org/team and still take advantage of this opportunity through April 15. The BQA program is always built on continuous improvement of individual operations, of the entire industry, in increasing consumer confidence, and we’re so encouraged by the current numbers and the uptick in those current numbers that we just hope this campaign can continue on that trend to increase the number of producers that are showing their commitment to producing high-quality beef products.” (:35 seconds)
In total, more than 16,000 producers have enrolled in the BQA free certification program since 2013. DeCoite tells us how some producers are using the coupon code.
