Recognizing the need for an event that connected all the links in the farm-to-table supply chain, Minnesota Farm Bureau created the first agricultural celebration gala in their state.
The purpose of the gala was to cultivate and recognize the rich history of farmers, organizations, businesses and communities that support agriculture across the state. Bankers, truck drivers, meat processors and everyone in between were invited to help celebrate the critical role the supply chain plays in providing food to a growing population.
Minnesota’s diverse agriculture was highlighted throughout the event, with signature drinks featuring locally produced spirits, state agricultural products lining the silent auction table, table flowers designed by the local FFA chapter in their floral design class and entertainment provided by a former 4-H member. The menu items were sourced within the state with a special focus on the multitude of commodities raised throughout Minnesota.
“The Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation is proud to have created an event that brings people together from all backgrounds of farming, agribusiness and more to celebrate the important job we have in feeding the world,” said Minnesota Farm Bureau Foundation Director Ruth Meirick.
The meal included products from across the state and highlighted Minnesota's diverse agriculture.
