Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is increasing its Young Farmer Loan and Young Entrepreneur Loan limit to $2 million from $1.5 million.
The increase reflects a need for this key demographic in the Canadian agriculture and food industry to access the resources they need to succeed, supporting the next generation of farmers.
“These changes help to address the market needs due to increased land values and overall rising costs in farming,” said Curtis Grainger, FCC Director, Lending Products. “Removing barriers for new entrants while also supporting intergenerational transfers is another way FCC supports its customers.”
With nearly 21,000 young borrowers (those under 40), FCC continues to monitor the changing needs of these customers and adapt its products accordingly.
