The USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) reminds New York cabbage, corn, dry bean, forage seeding, fresh market bean, fresh market sweet corn, grain sorghum, green pea, hemp, potato, processing bean, processing sweet corn, processing tomato, soybean, spring barley and spring oat growers that the final date to apply for crop insurance coverage for the 2023 crop year is March 15. Growers also have until March 15 to apply for coverage under the Whole-Farm Revenue Protection policy, including Micro Farm coverage. Current policyholders who wish to make changes to their existing policies also have until March 15 to do so.

Crop insurance coverage for soybeans has been expanded for the 2023 crop year to include Delaware and Fulton Counties.
