Michigan State University Extension will host Ag Action Day 2015, an agriculture and home horticulture networking and educational event, Jan. 30, in Oshtemo Township, Michigan.
On Jan. 30, 2015, Michigan State University Extension and Kalamazoo Valley Community College will host their popular Ag Action Day. Included will be a trade show and agriculture and home horticulture education sessions. A day-long hops track will include sessions on “Getting started with hops production” by Rob Sirrine and “Hops pest management” by Erin Lizotte, both MSUExtension educators, and “Quality hops for quality brew” by Jason Salas of New Holland Brewing, a craft brew industry leader in the state.
Other subjects to be covered in educational sessions will be: fruit production with a focus on pest management, vegetable production, and field crops.
