The International Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae Eradication Workshop, co-sponsored by Zoetis and the fieldepi group, will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The International PRRS Management Workshop, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, will follow from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM, concluding with a social dinner.
Both workshops will feature global experts sharing practical strategies and the latest research on disease control and elimination in commercial swine operations.
The main conference will feature national and international leaders discussing topics such as sustainable veterinary practices, economic trends in the swine industry, and PRRS reduction strategies in Europe. Attendees will also receive updates on the U.S. Swine Health Improvement Plan (SHIP).
Afternoon sessions will include two concurrent tracks covering E. coli virulence, PRRSV diversity, sow mortality, groundwater pathogens, H5N1, and national swine health strategies.
Practitioner-led case studies will explore biosecurity technologies, diagnostics, and emerging health threats like JEV, PCV3, and K88 E. coli.
A networking social hosted by Iowa Swine Day will follow the main conference on June 25 at the Hansen Agriculture Student Learning Center.
