The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is dedicating $300 million to assist 66 American agricultural organizations in expanding their reach into new global markets.
This initiative, part of the Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP), was introduced by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack with the goal of increasing the presence of U.S. farm products in regions like Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia.
Launched in October 2023, RAPP is funded by the Commodity Credit Corporation with an overall budget of $1.2 billion. The program supports U.S. exporters in exploring markets beyond their traditional boundaries, focusing on areas with rising consumer demand and purchasing power.
