“This trade delegation to Italy has been essential to ensure we are putting U.S. Farmers First on the world stage and expanding market access for the bounty of American Agriculture,” said Secretary Rollins.
She also met with members of the National Italian American Foundation and senior officials at the United Nations.
With FAO’s Director General and the World Food Programme’s Cindy McCain, Secretary Rollins promoted science-based standards and emphasized greater use of U.S. agricultural products in global food aid programs.
She reaffirmed that U.S.-funded international programs should align with national interests and support domestic producers.
Minister Lollobrigida noted, “Dialogue with the United States represents a strategic pillar of Italy’s foreign agricultural policy.”
This trade mission strengthened the U.S.-Italy partnership and reaffirmed American leadership in international agricultural trade.
