Paul T Combs honored for Driving Growth in Equipment Sector

Honoring strong leadership and advocacy for equipment dealers nationwide

The equipment dealer industry relies on strong leadership, and one outstanding individual has been recognized by his peers for exceptional service and long-term commitment: Paul T. Combs.  

Paul T. Combs  is a respected dealer and agricultural leader who was recently recognized with a major national honor for advancing advocacy, strengthening policy discussions, and supporting equipment businesses across the country. 

The award highlights dealers who work beyond their daily responsibilities to inform lawmakers, support fair policies, and build strong relationships with decision-makers. This year’s recipient has shown remarkable dedication through many years of public service, community involvement, and industry leadership. 

As the president of a long-established family dealership with multiple locations, he brings firsthand experience from working closely with farmers and agricultural businesses. His background also includes managing farmland across several counties and contributing to crop production such as rice, cotton, soybeans, corn, and peanuts. His leadership extends into related sectors, including banking and agribusiness. 

He has served in key roles on local and regional boards, including several drainage districts that support land and water management across rural communities. His service record also features leadership positions with youth organizations, arts institutions, and industry advisory groups. His experience on the Case IH Dealer Advisory Board ensures dealer perspectives are represented in business and product discussions. 

Nationally, his experience includes serving two terms with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He has also served with major agriculture groups, including USA Rice Farmers and the USA Rice Federation, where he held board and committee roles. His expertise has led to invitations to testify before the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and state legislative committees. 

His commitment to advocacy has played a key role in shaping equipment policy. He helped defeat harmful legislation, supported important tax provisions, and worked with federal leaders to protect essential business tools like floor plan interest deductions and Section 199A benefits.

Beyond business, he and his family are known for their philanthropy, including establishing an endowed medical research fund.
