September marks Organic Month in Canada
This September marks the 17th Organic Month in Canada, and the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) is spotlighting the sector’s progress with its 2025 Quick Facts.
The national campaign, which runs from September 1-30, raises awareness about the value of organic agriculture and the benefits it brings to consumers, communities, and the environment.
Canadian shoppers are continuing to show their support for organic products. In 2024, total organic sales exceeded $9.75 billion, with food and beverage purchases making up $7.77 billion. That represents an 8.21% increase from the year before, highlighting steady growth despite changing market conditions.
