Highes says that the new row cleaner option, available for the 40 SD and 60 MD models, is designed to enhance seed placement and residue management in challenging field conditions.
Previously available as a retrofit kit, the row cleaner system is now factory-installed starting in 2025. This update is particularly beneficial for farmers working in conditions with heavy residue, such as double-crop soybeans behind wheat.
The system helps clear residue out of the way, minimizing hair pinning effects and allowing for precise seed depth control, even in no-till environments.
The row cleaner system offers adjustable settings for aggressiveness and depth, providing flexibility to adapt to various field conditions.
The independent control of the row cleaners allows for customized adjustments to suit different residue levels, ensuring optimal performance throughout the planting process.
The row cleaner is independently mounted with a rubber torsion design, which provides flexibility when navigating rocky fields.
The pull-type design of the row cleaner gives better residue control compared to traditional push-type models. The system features a hydraulic cylinder for easy adjustment of depth and pitch, depending on the conditions of the field.
