The National Farm Machinery Show kicks off on Feb. 14 in Louisville, Ky., turning the Kentucky Exposition Center into a 1.2 million square-foot indoor showroom of the latest farm equipment and technology from more than 800 exhibitors.
Here’s a small glimpse of what the more than 300,000 estimated visitors attending the show can expect to see between Feb. 14 and 17.
AGCO will have multiple pieces of equipment on hand.
Visitors to that booth can see the Fendt 200 Vario Series tractor and the Massey Ferguson R Series sprayer – both winners of AE50 awards.
In addition, the new 30-foot Fendt Momentum planter will be on site.
This planter is equipped “with SmartFrame technology, a Vertical Contouring Toolbar, Load Logic™, and the industry’s highest capacity for seed, and both liquid and dry fertilizer, the Momentum planter can provide a 5-bushel/acre yield advantage over the competition,” the company said in a press release.
Case IH says it is “going big” at the show.
The manufacturer is using the National Farm Machinery Show to launch the AF11 combine.
This machine boasts up to 775 hp, a 565-bushel grain tank and a 6-bushel-per-second unload rate.
The combine is “an industry-leading powerhouse purposefully redesigned from the ground up to maximize time in the field,” Case IH says.
Woods Equipment is debuting a redesigned and improved mower.
Show attendees can see the company’s new Batwing BW15 series flex-wing rotary cutting line.
It comes in two models: the BW15.52 for tractors with between 45 and 200 hp. Then there’s the BW15.72, for tractors ranging in horsepower from 65 to 300.
One feature is the Batwing’s Level Lock Technology.
This keeps the wings level across rugged terrain and doesn't require re-leveling while a 13" cutting deck with high-lift blades gives a cleaner cut,” Woods says.
In addition, anyone who orders a mower during the show will receive a 10 percent discount.
May Wes Manufacturing will be at the show too.
Visitors to this company’s booth can see its newest poly products, including G4 Stalk Stompers for corn heads, Poly Skid Shoes and more.
Ihle Fabrications will also be exhibiting at the National Farm Machinery Show.
This company makes wear parts products designed for Case IH, New Holland and John Deere combines.
“Attendees can view firsthand the company’s state-of-the-art wear parts, including our transition cone liner kit, our feeder house floors, our bubble up auger tube liners,” the company said.
And 360 Yield Center is hosting a challenge at the show.
If a farmer can identify his or her farm on Google Earth, Gregg Sauder, the founder of 360 Yield Center, and his design team, will create a 360 Rain System for that farm.
