While we are aware that the majority of the popular event is being held during the work/school week, for those who can, it makes a good opportunity to get in some of the necessary volunteer hours mandated by the provincial education board.
For those who are retired or have some vacation time available, spend a few days at the show as a volunteer!
Being a volunteer at the IPM can also help one connect with the community, gain new experiences, and just meet new people.
Volunteers are required for all aspects of the show: horse & tractor plowing, Tented City, antiques, entertainment, marketing, souvenirs, education, lifestyles & quilts, RV Park, wagon tours, landscaping, beautification, parking & traffic, gates, health & safety, parade, information booths, and more.
With just over 30 days to go before the IPM, there are still volunteer pre-show opportunities, as well as those during and post (teardown).
