Iowa Power Farming Show kicks off February 3rd

Farmers, ranchers, industry professionals and lovers of all things farming and agriculture will descend upon the Iowa Events Centre for the Iowa Power Farming Show, which opened its doors at 9am this morning.

The show, which is the 3rd largest indoor ag show in the United States features over 1,800 booths on seven acres of indoor displays.

Vendors at the show include Bayer CropScience, John Deere, Monsanto BioAg, Rabo AgriFinance, and others stretching across 29 states and four Canadian provinces.

2015’s rendition of the Iowa Power Farming Show will include focuses on new products and electronics including Trimble’s Ux5 Aerial Imaging Solution, the EasyFix Stall Divider, the Sunco Floating Saber Tooth and AGWEIGH In-Motion-Truck Scales.

The show will also feature a variety of speakers and seminars for farmers and their families to further expand their knowledge of farming practices. These sessions include topics such as succession planning, the Upper Midwest and their sulfur deficiency, and new technology to improve plant health.

With 2015 being the International Year of Soils, the show will also have a workshop entitled “Building Farmer Wealth with Soil Health”, that will focus on how to revive dead soil, tools for soil health and how to make the connection between soil health and water quality.

The Iowa Power Farming Show will run until 4pm on Tuesday, from 9am – 4pm on Wednesday and 9am – its 3pm conclusion on Thursday, February 5.
