New Features Enhance Operations for Livestock Producers and Fieldwork
Kubota has introduced significant upgrades to its M6-1 Series tractors, enhancing productivity and reliability.
The series, in production since 2014, now features advanced functionalities aimed at improving user efficiency.
The M6-1 Series includes four models: the M6 101-1, M6 111-1, M6 131-1, and M6 141-1.
Kevin Cobb, senior ag field operations manager with Kubota, discussed its updated features with Farms.com.
Among the standout features is the continuation of the 24-speed semi-power shift transmission. This transmission offers three ranges and eight power shifts, now enhanced with the new Xpress Restart functionality.
Xpress Restart allows operators to bring the tractor to neutral by pressing both brakes, enabling functions like unloading a bale or raising a loader without manual shifting.
Releasing the brakes re-engages the tractor, resuming the previous gear or downshifting for a smooth start. This feature enhances efficiency, especially for baler operations and livestock tasks, ensuring swift speed recovery and smooth clutch engagement.
Another key addition is the shuttle modulation control, which provides smoother transitions between forward and reverse shuttle movements. This feature integrates seamlessly with Xpress Restart, improving overall operation fluidity.
The stationary PTO operation is another valuable enhancement. This feature enables operators to engage the PTO following a safe in-cab sequence, allowing them to leave the cab without disrupting operations.
These innovations aim to improve efficiency for livestock producers and field operations, offering practical solutions for various tasks.
