Event Highlights Trade Policy and Agricultural Opportunities

The U.S. Grains and BioProducts Council (USGBC) has announced that registration is now open for its next Trade Policy Academy, scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, at R/Farms Distillery in Mound City, Missouri.

The one-day event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend. Lunch and an evening networking reception will be included. Registration will close on December 5.

The event is hosted in partnership with the National Corn Growers Association, Kansas Corn, Nebraska Corn, and Missouri Corn. It is designed to educate participants on how trade policies influence agriculture, commodity markets, and bio-based product exports.

Sessions will include updates from industry leaders such as USGBC Trade Policy Director Andrew Brandt, USGBC Director of Global Ethanol Export Development Alicia Koch, and USGBC Director of Industry Relations Ellen S. Zimmerman. Additional speakers include National Corn Growers Association, Director of Trade, Transportation, and Animal Agriculture Michael Granché and representatives from state-level corn checkoff programs.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the global agricultural trade landscape, emerging challenges, and opportunities for U.S. corn and biofuel industries. The event also offers networking opportunities with trade professionals and policymakers.

The complete event agenda can be accessed online. For further information, attendees can contact Ellen S. Zimmerman via email at ezimmerman@grains.org.

By organizing this Trade Policy Academy, USGBC continues to strengthen knowledge sharing and collaboration among agricultural professionals, supporting long-term growth in the U.S. trade and bioeconomy sectors.
