Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999), a Spanish musician, composed En los trigales (In the Wheat Fields) for the classical guitar in 1938 once back in Spain after studying in France.
He later grouped the piece with three others to create a suite of music that describes the Spanish landscape.
