A cow from Embrun, Ont., Canada holds the Guinness record for the most milk produced in a lifetime.

In 2012, Gillette E Smurf (pictured above with owner Eric Patenaude in 2012) earned the record after producing 216,893 kg (478,167 pounds) of milk since her birth in September 1996.

While other dairy cows averaged 35 litres (9 gallons) of milk per day, Smurf produced about 50 litres (13 gallons) per day.
