Food Inflation - COVID-19 Economic update for the agri-food industry
@Statistics Canada released their April inflation numbers. Food inflation is at 3.4%, but animal proteins are much higher as a result of supply disruptions, higher retailers' costs and continued strength in demand. FCC's VP & Chief Ag Economist J.P. Gervais breaks down the numbers by category as well as the story behind these numbers.
