Swine manure as a nutrient source - Steve Berger - Iowa Swine Day 2019
After twenty years of continuous no-till to reduce soil disturbance and erosion on their farm, Dennis D. Berger & Son, Inc. began raising swine to diversify their business and utilize the manure as a source of nutrients. Applying liquid swine manure on long term no-till and cover crop system can be a challenge. There are many competing strategies to consider when applying manure.
Berger talks about their management approach to applying swine manure in a no-till cover crop system. Presented by Steve Berger, pork producer.
