Sorghum: Net sales of 114,100 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for China (169,100 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 600 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (55,000 MT). Exports of 157,300 MT were reported to China.
Rice: Net sales of 93,700 MT for 2014/2015 were up 19 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Turkey (40,000 MT), Haiti (25,600 MT), Japan (12,000 MT), El Salvador (6,200 MT), and Canada (3,400 MT). Exports of 61,500 MT were up 7 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (28,600 MT), El Salvador (8,500 MT)Haiti (6,600 MT), Guatemala (4,500 MT), and Canada (4,400 MT).
Soybeans: Net sales of 1,326,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 39 percent from the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for China (1,050,500 MT, including 293,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 74,500 MT), Portugal (71,500 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Egypt (66,000 MT), Japan (45,400 MT, including 19,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 900 MT), and Mexico (42,300 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (60,000 MT). Exports of 1,843,700 MT were down 2 percent from the previous week, but up 46 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (1,450,600 MT), Mexico (82,500 MT), Portugal (71,500 MT), Spain (61,800 MT), and Japan (33,800 MT).
Optional Origin Sales: For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 1,170,500 MT, and are for China (884,500 MT), Egypt (181,000 MT), unknown destinations (60,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).
Exports for Own Account: Exports for own account totaling 24,800 MT was reported to Canada. The current exports for own account balance is 49,900 MT, all Canada.
Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 147,800 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for Mexico (162,700 MT), Italy (45,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Venezuela (32,000 MT), Canada (17,900 MT), and Portugal (8,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (65,500 MT), Egypt (50,000 MT), Nicaragua (4,500 MT), and Guatemala (3,800 MT). Net sales of 5,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Nicaragua (5,000 MT) and Canada (100 MT). Exports of 150,600 MT were reported to Mexico (43,500 MT), Canada (17,800 MT), Colombia (16,800 MT), the Dominican Republic (14,900 MT), and El Salvador (14,100 MT).
Soybean Oil: Net sales of 15,800 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for the Dominican Republic (8,800 MT), Colombia (4,600 MT), Mexico (2,600 MT), Peru (1,800 MT), and Canada (400 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (3,000 MT). Exports of 13,300 MT were reported to the Dominican Republic (9,200 MT), Mexico (3,400 MT), Canada (400 MT), and Australia (100 MT).
Cotton: Net Upland sales of 185,400 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 95 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Indonesia (32,900 RB, including 400 RB switched from Japan), Mexico (28,600 RB), Thailand (25,500 RB), China (22,700 RB), and Turkey (18,000 RB). Net sales of 13,400 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (6,400 RB), Thailand (4,000 RB), and Honduras (1,800 RB). Exports of 70,800 RB were primarily to China (15,700 RB), Mexico (12,300 RB), Turkey (5,900 RB), South Korea (5,500 RB), and Indonesia (5,100 RB). Net American Pima sales of 5,100 RB for 2014/2015 were up 9 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. Increases for China (4,500 RB), India (400 RB), Bangladesh (400 RB, switched from China), and Taiwan (300 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Egypt (600 RB) and Germany (200 RB). Exports of 1,900 RB were primarily to Vietnam (1,300 RB), Mexico (200 RB), and Taiwan (200 RB).
Optional Origin Sales: For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).
Exports for Own Account: Exports for own account to China (300 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales. The current exports for own account balance is 54,900 RB, all China.
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 440,900 pieces were up 11 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 433,400 pieces were primarily for China (332,900 pieces), South Korea (57,300 pieces), Mexico (20,900 pieces), Thailand (8,100 pieces), and Taiwan (5,800 pieces). Exports of 366,000 pieces were up 20 percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 362,000 pieces were primarily to China (219,800 pieces), South Korea (91,500 pieces), Mexico (19,500 pieces), Taiwan (8,300 pieces), and Thailand (8,100 pieces).
Net sales of 253,400 wet blues for 2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for China (103,800 unsplit and 24,900 grain splits), Italy (48,100 unsplit), Vietnam (40,600 unsplit), and Taiwan (23,900 unsplit). Decreases were reported for Japan (300 grain splits). Net sales reductions of 500 wet blues for 2015 resulted as increases for China (2,000 grain splits), were offset by decreases for Taiwan (2,400 unsplit). Exports of 157,800 wet blues were primarily to China (37,200 unsplit and 7,800 grain splits), Italy (38,400 unsplit and 6,000 grain splits), Mexico (21,000 grain splits and 2,100 unsplit), and Taiwan (20,600 unsplit). Net sales reductions of splits totaling 118,300 pounds for 2014 resulted as increases for China (29,900 pounds) were more than offset by decreases for South Korea (85,800 pounds), Hong Kong (60,700 pounds), and Vietnam (1,600 pounds). Beef: Net sales of 20,100 MT for 2014 were up noticeably from the previous week and 92 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Japan (4,300 MT), Hong Kong (3,600 MT), the Philippines (3,500 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), and Mexico (2,100 MT). Net sales of 200 MT for 2015 were reported for Canada. Exports of 13,000 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (3,100 MT), Hong Kong (3,000 MT), South Korea (2,500 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), and Canada (900 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 12,700 MT for 2014 were down 35 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (3,200 MT), South Korea (3,200 MT), Canada (1,900 MT), Japan (1,500 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT). Net sales of 300 MT for 2015 were reported for South Korea (200 MT) and Canada (100 MT). Exports of 17,300 MT were primary to Mexico (5,000 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Japan (3,000 MT), Canada (2,300 MT), and China (1,300 MT).
