Wheat:   Net sales of 690,200 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Taiwan (99,500 MT), Malaysia (93,300 MT), the Philippines (91,500 MT), Nigeria (80,000 MT), South Korea (52,400 MT), Chile (47,300 MT), and Colombia (45,700 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from Panama and decreases of 10,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (46,600 MT), Panama (25,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (4,400 MT).  Exports of 559,200 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (82,400 MT), Indonesia (68,700 MT), Japan (51,600 MT), Thailand (51,500 MT), Chile (47,300 MT), Colombia (44,200 MT), and Italy (37,700 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 40,000 MT, all Algeria.

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account were reported to Italy (100 MT).  Exports for own account to Italy (1,000 MT) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 18,300 MT, all Italy.   

Corn:  Net sales for the 2014/2015 marketing year, which began September 1, totaled 563,200 MT.  Increases reported for Mexico (127,100 MT), Japan (108,400 MT, including 57,900 MT switched from unknown destinations and decrease of 82,300 MT), unknown destinations (80,700 MT), South Korea (68,100 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Costa Rica (52,700 MT), were partially offset by decreases for Colombia (22,900 MT) and Guatemala (12,700 MT).  A total of 1,341,400 MT in sales were carried over from the 2013/2014 marketing year, which ended August 31.  Exports for the period ending August 31 of 507,500 MT brought accumulated exports to 47,375,100 MT, up noticeably from the prior year’s total of 18,044,200 MT.  The primary destinations were Japan (244,200 MT), Mexico (119,500 MT), Saudi Arabia (71,500 MT), Honduras (31,800 MT), and Colombia (19,900 MT).  Exports for September 1-4 totaled 695,500 MT, with Mexico (196,700 MT), Japan (142,900 MT), South Korea (133,100 MT), Spain (66,000 MT), and El Salvador (28,600 MT) being the primary destinations. 

Barley:  Net sales of 500 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Taiwan.  Net sales of 25,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 600 MT were reported to Taiwan (500 MT) and South Korea (100 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales for the 2014/2015 marketing year, which began September 1, totaled 208,300 MT.  Increases were primarily reported for China (193,000 MT) and Japan (15,200 MT).  A total of 362,900 MT in sales were carried over from the 2013/2014 marketing year, which ended August 31.  Exports for the period ending August 31 of 64,500 MT, all China, brought accumulated exports to 4,700,800 MT, up noticeably from the prior year’s total of 1,340,900 MT.  

Rice:  Net sales of 32,000 MT for 2014/2015were down 43 percent from the previous week and 55 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (7,800 MT), Ghana (7,000 MT), Honduras (5,300 MT, including 2,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), Costa Rica (4,000 MT), and Turkey (3,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (2,000 MT).  Net sales reductions of 3,300 MT for 2015/2016 resulted as increases for Mexico (200 MT), were more than offset by decreases for Honduras (3,500 MT).  Exports of 19,700 MT were down 53 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were to Haiti (7,100 MT), Honduras (4,300 MT), Mexico (2,800 MT), Jordan (1,800 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT). 

Soybeans:  Net sales for the 2014/2015 marketing year, which began September 1, totaled 984,300 MT.  Increases were reported for China (658,200 MT), unknown destinations (105,000 MT), Indonesia (94,400 MT, including 62,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Turkey (38,000 MT), and Japan (20,700 MT).  Net sales of 70,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for unknown destinations.  A total of 1,340,500 MT in sales were carried over from the 2013/2014 marketing year, which ended August 31.  Exports for the period ending August 31 of 111,600 MT brought accumulated exports to 44,526,100 MT, up 23 percent from the prior year’s total of 36,243,000 MT.  The primary destinations were the Netherlands (64,800 MT), Japan (22,100 MT), Mexico (10,700 MT), Indonesia (9,700 MT), and Thailand (1,700 MT).  Exports for September 1-4 totaled 72,900 MT, with Indonesia (62,100 MT), Mexico (8,800 MT), and Taiwan (1,400 MT) being the primary destinations.    

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, optional origin sales of 55,000 MT, all China, were outstanding at the end of the year and carried over to 2014/2015.  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 1,133,000 MT (including carry-over), and are for China (968,000 MT), Egypt (120,000 MT), and Mexico (45,000 MT).

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Indonesia were decreased 26,300 MT for week ending August 14, 2014 and 37,100 MT for week ending August 21, 2014.  The shipments were reported in error.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 14,100 MT for 2013/2014 were for Honduras (10,200 MT, including 9,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (6,900 MT), Canada (5,700 MT), Guatemala (2,800 MT), Morocco (2,000 MT), and Japan (1,600 MT).  Decreases were reported for Venezuela (12,000 MT), unknown destinations (4,900 MT), and Nicaragua (1,500 MT).  Net sales of 203,200 MT for 2014/2015 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (90,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (55,500 MT), Venezuela (27,000 MT), and Costa Rica (10,500 MT).  Exports of 89,400 MT were up 2 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (27,500 MT), Canada (18,800 MT), Honduras (13,000 MT), Panama (11,000 MT), and El Salvador (8,900 MT).                                                                                                                                                                     

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 5,800 MT for 2013/2014 were for Mexico (4,700 MT), Venezuela (2,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Guatemala (1,000 MT), and Canada (100 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (2,000 MT).  Net sales of 8,100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for the Dominican Republic.  Exports of 6,100 MT were up 72 percent from the previous week, but down 48 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Nicaragua (2,000 MT), Venezuela (2,000 MT), Mexico (1,800 MT), and Canada (100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 2,000 MT, all Nicaragua.

Cotton:  Net Upland sales reductions of 34,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Vietnam (19,400 RB, including 5,000 RB switched from China ), Mexico (9,500 RB), Turkey (8,800 RB), Indonesia (6,800 RB, including 1,100 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 100 RB), Taiwan (6,700 RB, including 2,000 RB switched from China and decreases of 1,800 RB), and South Korea (6,600 RB), were more than offset by decreases for China (105,900 RB).  Net sales of 6,600 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for South Korea.  Exports of 83,600 RB were down 20 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (17,600 RB), Mexico (16,000 RB), Turkey (12,000 RB), Vietnam (9,700 RB), and Indonesia (3,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 2,400 RB for 2014/2015 were reported for India (800 RB), Indonesia (700 RB), China (600 RB), and Thailand (300 RB).  Exports of 1,500 RB were primarily to Bangladesh (400 RB), Japan (400 RB), Turkey (200 RB), and Thailand (200 RB).  

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to China (100 RB) were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 54,300 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 403,400 pieces were up 37 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 399,200 pieces were primarily for China (356,500 pieces), South Korea (14,800 pieces), Italy (8,300 pieces), and Taiwan (5,900 pieces).  Exports of 359,100 pieces (all whole cattle hide exports) were down 21 percent from the previous, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were to China (221,600 pieces), South Korea (82,900 pieces), Italy (12,500 pieces), Mexico (11,200 pieces), and Thailand (10,100 pieces).

Net sales of 193,200 wet blues for 2014 were down noticeably from the previous week, but up noticeably and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (58,400 unsplit and 22,500 grain splits), China (48,500 unsplit and 14,700 grain splits), Italy (25,200 grain splits), and Mexico (16,300 grain splits).  Decreases were reported for Taiwan (300 unsplit) and Japan (100 grain splits).  Exports of 135,800 wet blues were primarily to China (44,900 unsplit and 8,900 grain splits), Vietnam (20,500 unsplit), Thailand (13,700 unsplit), and the Dominican Republic (11,200 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 3,808,200 pounds for 2014 were reported for South Korea (3,589,400 pounds) and China (264,000 pounds).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (44,100 pounds) and Vietnam (1,100 pounds).  Exports of 399,900 pounds were reported to South Korea (263,900 pounds), Hong Kong (93,500 pounds), and Vietnam (42,500 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 14,000 MT for 2014 were up 37 percent from the previous week and 49 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (6,600 MT), Japan (4,400 MT), South Korea (1,300 MT), Canada (600 MT), and Mexico (400 MT).  Exports of 11,500 MT were down 9 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,500 MT), Mexico (2,200 MT), Hong Kong (2,000 MT), South Korea (1,700 MT), and Canada (900 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 15,900 MT for 2014 were down 23 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (5,500 MT), Mexico (4,100 MT), South Korea (3,000 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Hong Kong (800 MT).  Exports of 12,800 MT were primary to Mexico (4,600 MT), Japan (2,500 MT), South Korea (2,200 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), and Hong Kong (1,000 MT).
