Although the weather was less than ideal in much of the Widwest, U.S. corn and soybean planting continues to move faster than the five year average.
As of Sunday, 92% of corn is planted and 74% has emerged, both well ahead of the respective five year averages. In the first rating of the season, 74% of the crop is in good to excellent condition.
61% of soybeans are planted and 32% have emerged, also ahead of normal.
