Master Grazer, an education program of the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the Cooperative Extension Service, is hosting its 2026 Alfalfa and Stored Forage Conference on Feb. 24, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST, at the Logan County Extension Office in Russellville.

According to Extension forage specialist Chris Teutsch, the conference is a useful opportunity for producers to learn the latest information regarding alfalfa and hay production.

“Hay producers can expect to discuss multiple topics during the conference, including weed control, insecticide resistance, hay marketing, new discoveries in alfalfa genetics and the new forage testing program,” Teutsch said. “We are very excited to offer this opportunity once again for our stored forage producers in the state."

The Kentucky Forage and Grassland Council is sponsoring lunch and the awards program for the Kentucky alfalfa and hay quality contests, which are included with registration.
