Theft of maple syrup collection equipment reported

MIDDLESEX CENTRE — On March 13, 2024, at 8:17 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Vanneck Road, just south of Eight Mile Road in Middlesex Centre for the report of a theft.

It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered a bush lot, believed to be sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal equipment related to the maple syrup collection process.

The value of equipment taken is approximately $150.

The investigation is continuing.
