Apr 19, 2021
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) will be hosting virtual Town Hall engagement sessions on Friday, April 23, 2021 as part of consultations on the Canada Grain Act (CGA) review. These sessions will allow grain farmers and other sector stakeholders to share their views with officials as part of the review process, and to obtain information about the review, including how to make a submission as part of the open consultations which close April 30, 2021.

The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will be delivering brief opening remarks on the Government of Canada’s commitment to review the CGA with the goal of modernizing the Act to ensure Canada remains competitive in the global marketplace. These Town Hall engagement sessions will also include a presentation highlighting topics found in the discussion document relating to the long term vision for the CGA, as well as the Canadian Grain Commission.

The French session will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT, followed by the English session from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT. Simultaneous translation will be available for both sessions.
