Sask Pork Chairman Casey Smit and the Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Mark Ferguson has accepted the position of General Manager for Sask Pork
Mark brings to the role 15 years of experience in the pork industry as Policy and Industry Development Manager for Sask Pork. He has been very involved in numerous industry growth initiatives and international cost of production studies during his time with the organization. Mark also brings a passion for the hog industry and a vision for ensuring long-term profitable pork production for our province’s producers.
He is a Professional Agrologist and attended the University of Saskatchewan graduating with a Master of Science in 2005 and Bachelor of Science in 2003.
Mark grew up on the family farm near Edgeley, Saskatchewan. He and his wife Jill have four children and reside in Saskatoon.
Mark replaces Neil Ketilson who is retiring this month from Sask Pork after 17 years as General Manager.
The Board of Directors and staff welcome Mark to the position and extend their appreciation to Neil for his 20+ years of dedicated service to the Saskatchewan pork industry.
